THE WHEELCHAIR SIDEWALK PROJECT
Currently under construction!!
Thanks to a Meijer grant and our 2026 Champion Sponsor, West Michigan Wildlife Association, construction is already underway. Nienhuis Construction has completed the first concrete pours, and the route is taking shape. What started as a dream is becoming something that will serve our veterans for years to come.
FREEDOM TO ROLL
Right now, our volunteers move disabled veterans by hand
across uneven turf to reach activity stations at our facility.
A wheelchair sidewalk system changes that; giving every
veteran the independence to move freely on their own, from
the loading zone to the classroom, fire pit, shooting range,
and pavilion.
Help Us Build The New Wheelchair Sidewalk!
We still need your help to finish the job. Every dollar donated goes directly to concrete, materials, and labor. A completed sidewalk system means a veteran who uses a wheelchair can get to the shooting range on their own for the first time. It means independence. It means dignity. It means they can just enjoy the day like everyone else. That’s worth building.
